| - If you are looking for a deal on appliances, this is the place to go! It took me a little research on Bowest to find out if they were legit and where they received their stock from, but once I found out and after several friends and family purchases over the last couple of years, I am a return customer.
Bowest took over the Sears Outlet contract when they left town, meaning they receive all damaged and not working appliances from Sears; this translates to truck loads weekly. Some items are truly damaged, while other items (like my fridge) has a slight scratch down the side, which you cannot see because it is covered, or my dishwasher which has a slight scuff at the bottom.
For these slight, surface imperfections, you can pick up appliances at half the retail value. All appliances come with a one year warranty, delivery, and take-away of old appliances. If you pay cash, you get a much better price!
Not only do you receive a great price, their service is deluxe. I recently had a problem with my LG fridge, after a couple of attempts to fix the problem and under some time constraints on my part, Bowest simply gave me a newer model of the fridge to replace this one. That is service!
Now, they have three locations, but save yourself the time and go to the main warehouse on Deerfoot by the casino. If you go to the other locations, you won't be able to see as much stock, as well, these shops aren't as nice to look at/walk through (I admit they turned me off at first until I spoke with someone).
If you are skeptical, go check it out, I promise you that you won't be let down! I have purchased a top of the line fridge and dishwasher, my mom a fridge and stove, and 2 sets of friends have picked up entire kitchens and washer/dryers.
