  • We were very impressed with the initial consult with Matt, the owner, for the quote. The quote came in under 2 other companies, and they offered the footer for more security (as we want to put in a hanging 2-person swing). We were told our patio would be done 2 weeks out from when our contract was signed. Yay--time for some backyard entertainment--or so I thought! A month later, and I had all the cover materials in my backyard, a giant hole was cut, concrete was poured with a steel beam (after issues with that being poured wrong the first time), but no patio cover. My backyard was been a construction zone since they first came to dig up the footer. They had to stop middle of cutting and digging because they cracked our existing concrete patio & even though the supervisor who first showed up told them to bring a concrete saw, the guys showed up with only an angle grinder---sooo end result--a crack in my existing patio... And the footer unable to be filled. Last Tuesday when they showed up to do the job, they found the concrete poured incorrectly. The crew said the office would call us and reschedule everything. So then they dumped the materials for the project on our patio and side of the house. Literally the ugliest thing to look at in the yard. So after a day of waiting after the anticipation of it being done that day, No one called. (Not surprised) We had to call them--two days later, but of course--can't do anything on the holiday weekend (4th of July), so Jessica in the office said the crew will be back Monday OR Tuesday to finish. Here it is Tuesday, and no one showed up. My husband calls (he is much nicer than I am) and she (Jessica) says "oh we are swamped!" Don't tell your clients the finished product will be done in 2 weeks and then be surprised when you are swamped! Oy! So here it is, a month and a half after our contract was signed and the patio is FINALLY DONE (7/17/15) ! It looks fantastic, so I did bump up the review... I definitely say go with stucco columns--it makes the patio look like it came with the house.
