| - Ok. So there are some really, really great things to say about this hotel. Perhaps some of you will say I'm crazy, but nothing went wrong during our stay (July 29-31, 2016).
Check in:
We arrived at 2:30pm on a Friday afternoon and waited maybe 15 minutes to check in (our choice not to use self check in - it was offered to us by an actual human - and a very polite human I might add). Shari at the front desk was absolutely amazing. Super friendly, great energy and very helpful. Steered us from our studio room into a Go room because of the age of the furnishings - but she only did this after asking us a series of questions and showing us pictures of rooms. No pressure was applied for us to change rooms and there was an extremely nominal difference in price so we decided to change to the Go room. Our keys were created and we were sent on our way - no early check in fee, no hassle. In our room before 2:50pm....
Elevators:
We were on the 21st floor in the spa tower and never had a long wait or an issue with the elevators. True that only 3 of the 6 elevators were operable in the bank, but they seemed to run smoothly all weekend. Our friends were staying in the main tower and each night that we visited them, we had short wait times for elevators in their banks as well.
Go Room:
Newer furniture, a small fridge, great view of the Bellagio fountains and quiet. No real complaints at all. Blankets and pillows were clean, plenty of towels, and a nicely appointed bathroom. Two TVs. Housekeeping was lovely and very friendly. I also saw management on the floor and he was polite and smiling. Yes, the hallways could use come updating (shampoo the carpet and paint the doors, but really not a big deal. Just looks a bit unkempt. Not disastrous or offputting.
Pool:
Two pools - one family, one 21+. We had a cabana at the family pool. Plenty of space, decent towel service. Not enough servers/hosts - there were only two people working for the entire pool. They were clearly understaffed but truly, the pool area had a bar that never had a line so you could easily go and get your own water (free) and order other drinks from a bartender. Food needed to be ordered from one of the two working on the deck. No cover charge, not a lot of kids, decent music (not fabulous, just decent).
Casino:
Meh. Needs some glam to bring this back to its heyday but you can always swing next door to another casino for more ambiance. Regardless, it's a casino. Has all of the games you'll need. Enough said.
Checkout:
Online, you can set your own time and an email pops up with a receipt. Easy peasy.
Overall, it was a very nice stay. I usually stay at other Caesars properties but wanted to stay at the same hotel as all of my friends (there were 20 of us for a party). I was pleasantly surprised. Bottom line, be nice when you check in and you will be rewarded with a nice room and probably have a great time here. You reap what you sow.
Namaste
