| - I booked Vdara because I had caught a great deal on priceline, and the ratings were great. The fact that it was a non-gaming and non-smoking hotel on the strip was just the icing on the cake. Non-smoking because for once I didn't want to smell the smoke in the hallways leading to the rooms, and non-gaming because my boyfriend extremely loves gambling. The place smelled GREAT, and front desk was very friendly. The check in process was easy and quick, and in less than 10 minutes I was on my way to the room. I do like how they have security by the elevators requiring you to show key before you make your way up to the elevator. Its the little things that count that make you feel extra safe and special. Our room was phenomenal. Great smell, great view, comfortable bedding- actually the bed was like my favorite part, the bathroom was beyond great, and the kitchen was a really nice touch! Had I knew that I had to request for pots and pans for the stove I would've used it. Room keeping always did a great job when we needed them to clean. I loved the smell of the bath and lotion products that were made available to us-- I'm still trying to inquire on how I may buy some more from them!
To say the least, I miss our little home away from home, and that means a lot and it's a great thing.Breakfast at the Market café was pretty good, pricey but good. Bartender at the Patio Lounge was dope.
The spa was great, but that's gonna be another review.
I did knock out one star because the hotel was very hard to navigate at first and it pissed me off at first. I wish we were told about the tram when we first checked in. It seems like it's tucked away so far from the strip that it was nearly impossible to find our way out or in back to the hotel. There is also no self parking and its extremely hard to find your way around with a car.
Other than the navigation issue, I loved the Vdara so much, and I already miss it. I have already recommended this hotel to a few folks.
