My coworkers all swear by this place so I had to eventually check it out. I'm not familiar with Polish cuisine so this was an eye opener. The store itself is like a deli/corner grocery store rather than a restaurant. There were only 2 tables for seating so either the lines are super long or you have to get them perogies to go!
It's cash-only which is a no-no in my book. The dishes behind the glass counter didn't look or smell all that appealing to me. I split a beef perogie meal with my hubby and the taste was okay, not bad. They are like European dumplings, so if you have never had a real dumpling before, then I guess this is fine but I'm a dumpling/bao zi/dim sum connoisseur so perogies just pale in comparison. The wrapper is kind of hard and thick and the filling is very bland. I did, however, very much enjoy the onion butter black pepper sauce on top. That was lip-smackingly good. The haluski pasta side was also buttery, smooth and delicious.
Kind of expensive for the small amount of food you get. Good for a little snack but does not quite do it for me for an entree.
