  • I think this might just be my first one-star review. I've been a happy, loyal customer at the Enterprise in Tucson for several years, so when I needed to book a car last minute for my dad's arrival in Phoenix, naturally I booked it with the PHX Enterprise. The online system wouldn't let me fill out all the details and payment information like I normally do, so I gave them a call to see if they could help me figure it out. My dad's an old guy and I want to make sure everything goes smoothly for him. I call my Enterprise guys in Tucson whenever I need to extend a lease or have a question, and they're always quick, courteous, and go the extra mile to treat me the way a customer should be treated. I assumed I'd get the same service up in the PHX. I'm appalled that the phone rang in the PHX office for ten minutes before anyone bothered to pick it up, but that's not the worst part. The individual answered abruptly --and that's still not the worst part-- but I explained my situation calmly and she came back with a curt, scripted response. I explained that I was familiar with the procedure because I rent through Enterprise all the time and just needed to know how to do the payment like I normally do so I don't need to worry about my dad this afternoon. She actually responded, "Well, you're just gonna have to figure it out when he gets here," in this angry, rushed voice. And that's still not the worst part. I said, "It sounds like you're busy. What's a good time for me to call you back?" And she hung up on me. She actually hung up on me. That's the worst part. Like, you just don't do that. Hang up on a client? Who DOES that? The purpose for my dad's trip is to fly in and help me wrap up final details before selling my deceased spouse's house. It's a painful time and I'm doing the best I can to manage all the details. This individual had no way of knowing that, but a good representative should always give their clients the benefit of doubt. Enterprise is my car rental company. I don't go anywhere else. Why? Because I know they'll take care of me. I never worry when I rent from them. I've witnessed them bend over backward for me and others enough times to know it's company policy. But this? This is a game changer. If I can't trust them to take care of my elderly father, how can I trust them at all?
