  • Ehhh...where do I start? 1. When I moved in(12/29/2016) I was actually charged for the last 2 days of the month even though the apartment was empty so this place REALLY wanted every penny they could squeeze out of me. 2. The management here is hot/cold, hit/miss at best when it comes to interactions, getting things fixed, etc. 3. After I moved in I realized that there is an issue with the people that live behind the apartment. These people have 4 dogs...a rat dog, a huskie and 2 pit bulls. These dogs are pretty much outside and they cry and yipe and bark ALL THE TIME especially from Friday to Monday. It's almost as though the people leave for the weekend and the dogs are left all alone. 4. So, the issue with the dogs: I have spoken to the management NUMEROUS times about these dogs keeping me awake as well as the one pit bull actually somehow getting on top of the cinder block wall and it actually growls and barks at me ANYTIME I am outside. The "new" manager dude actually chastised me for voicing my complaint to him regarding the dogs. I talked to the neighbors on either side of me and they told me that this has been a problem for at least a year(I have been here for 4 months) and management acts as though this is something new that has never been a problem which is not true according to my neighbors. 5. The new manager has the following issues: Language disconnect between English and Spanish. Social skills necessary in order to communicate with the customer. The new manager also needs to learn how to manage/serve and not cast blame at the person that he should be helping/serving. Poorly trained and not qualified to perform the duties of Property Manager. People skills. The manager really needs to take some classes on customer service and crisis intervention and perhaps problem solving. This guys just don't cut the mustard and should go into a different line of work. 6. So, since I cannot use the one bedroom that is right next to the barking dogs, I am paying extra for a 2 bedroom apartment that is effectively a one bedroom apartment due to the barking dogs and #7(see below). 7. Also, I discovered that there is a large electrical box/transformer mounted on the wall outside the bedroom and this creates 2 issues...a. The electric box makes loud banging noises...I guess when the current surges or kicks in and b. I think that there is an abnormally elevated level of electricity in this bedroom since there is an unusual amount of static electricity in the carpet and the bed/linen due to this electric box/junction. So, I am looking at my options to somehow break the lease and get a refund for the money/rent I am paying on this 2 bedroom apartment since I can only use the one bedroom. So I just moved out now that the lease has expired...I only had to pay for the carpet cleaning and I even changed my rating from 2 Stars to 3 Stars.
