We went on a Friday around 5:30PM. Since it was a bit too early for the regular dining crowd, the restaurant was not busy. We were seated promptly.
I presented our Groupon and the waiter told us about what was available for appetizers, but not dinner specials. He indicated he had been working since 10AM and was a bit tired. So, we listened in on another waitress at another table describing the specials in detail.
We started with drinks, the Oso Cilantro and the Mango Cilantro Margarita. Both were very tasty. If it wouldn't have been included on the Groupon, we found them a bit expensive.
My partner had the Carne Asada a la Tampiqueña (beef tenderloin) and I ordered the Game Hen en Escabeche. Both entrees were good. I think the game hen was overpriced for the little hen, but it was very tasty, like it had been baked in a wood-fired oven. The skin was nice and crisp. The accompanying sweet potato was good, not dry. The Carne Asada tenderloin was done just right for my partner, although the waiter never asked how she wanted it done.
Bottom line: We'd go back with another groupon, but probably not at current prices for what you get. The waitstaff was attentive and the owner thanked us for coming on the way out. Not sure if this would happen at really busy times.
