| - Ukrainian Festival 8-3-14. Wonderful ethnic delicacies, everything tasted great! Grilled chicken kebobs, potato pancakes, authentic borscht, marble cake and kielbasi platter all are highly recommended by this food-fan! Cultural exhibitions, lots of artwork and trinkets on display and for sale. Very comfortable dining hall and outdoor set up for guests. Small children could play on elaborately set up playgrounds. The outside grill area was set up only after the festivities had long started. Many guest were told to be patient, as the staff was still preparing the grill area. This could have been done in advance instead of having guests wait, many for as long as an hour, to enjoy the "outdoor menu". Guests were asked to purchase "tickets" rather than pay for their meals in cash. This seems somewhat old fashioned, reminiscent of an old time carnival or school fair. Some guests were calculating the exact amount required to pay for food, buying the needed tickets in advance. "17 tickets, please!". This is embarrassing for both the staff and the guests. This inconvenient practice is the reason I couldn't give a 5 star rating for an otherwise very enjoyable outing.
