It's BIG. It's got cheap prices (not as cheap as you think). And it's crowded.
Woodman's. It's a Madison based chain, slowly trying to take over grocerydom. They have a huge selection, low prices, massive crowds.
The good:
Big liquor selection. Better than your average woodman's. Better than then EClaire store for sure. I mean I was excited to see the variety
Low prices
Huge selection
Surprisingly decent store sushi
Always open
The bad:
Deli dept? Quality OK, but Limited
Bakery? Terrible store baked goods. In this case it's a good thing the dept is so small
Meat selection - not low prices, but quality is good (except for past date products)
The ugly
Accuracy in checkout. ALWAYS watch the screen. Always check the receipt.
Product sold for full price after its "sell by date". Sure that product is likely still good, but most stores will discount the price. Seems at woodman's it is caveat emptor
