| - My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary. We are locals, and have made an effort to stay at many of the hotels on the Strip, but we definitely wanted to come back for our big day.
We weren't let down.
We were able to get a very early check-in for our 34th floor suite, and we took advantage of it to get some very relaxing bath time in. The bathrooms are gorgeous and spacious; a standing shower next to the ginormous bath tub, dimming lights, and use of glass and mirrors makes the place very romantic. Giggity.
I know people say that a room is just a room, but they haven't stayed at the Vdara. The staff is beyond polite and helpful. There isn't any gambling on property, so the entire hotel smells fresh and smoke-free. The rooms have full cable tv access (I didn't check the movie channels, though - got stuck on Comedy Central), and there is a small, fully-functional kitchenette. We brought snacks for our visit, to help minimize food and drink expenses.
The last time we stayed, we utilized the concierge service to book dinner on the patio of Prime Steakhouse, located in the Bellagio (the patio is on the water, facing the fountain show, by the way), all planned by the concierge - and we loved her for it. This time we had something more specific in mind, so we didn't need a concierge.
The location in the City Center makes the rest of the strip fairly accessible. There is a monorail within the City Center, going from the Monte Carlo to the Bellagio, and across the street is a station for the city monorail system, inside of the Paris. We never needed the bus or an Uber/Lyft.
I will always love this hotel.
