My husband and I recently had to take our year old kitten here after our regular vet and several surrounding vets couldn't fit us in the same day. My parents recommended we call this vet as they will usually fit you in for an emergency visit (for an additional fee); and it was worth it to get Tillman checked out.
The whole place is very clean and the staff is so kind and professional. I felt like they took my concerns seriously and took their time examining him for a detailed checkup. I was confident in the plan of action Dr. Simonson created and the medication she prescribed. He was given IV fluids as well to see how he was peeing in order to rule out any bladder issues. We were to bring him in the next day for a follow-up appointment.
Unfortunately, we ended up having to take him to the emergency vet later that same night. He struggled to pee on his own just a few hours after getting IV fluids and was howling in pain! Without Dr. Simonson giving him IV fluids, I'm not sure we would have known how serious his condition was. She called us the very next day to check on Tillman, and upon hearing we had to take him to the ER, she immediately took action. She let me know she would call the ER vet for all of the paperwork and medication prescribed and would fit him in for an appointment.
Our regular vet couldn't even be bothered to return my call to schedule an appointment after letting them know all that had happened. So, we happily took him to Norterra Animal Hospital, and we will continue to do so for our two dogs as well.
The receptionists, vet techs and Dr. Simonson are wonderful. They truly care for your animals and their well-being, and seem very knowledgeable and educated. Which sounds like a given, but that can be hard to find in our experience. We have been with two different vets over the last few years, never being totally satisfied. Now we will happily drive 20 minutes out of the way to give our pets the best care at Norterra Animal Hospital!
