  • "Hey Vicky, you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind" - now cue the cheerleaders... So two weeks ago I met Vicky and her little sister Sweet As IPA - damn - good - beers! Just when I thought my IPA phase was slowing down, NE styles have been popping up all over the place. When they are done well, they are amazing and refreshing - both of these were done well. Vicky is a DIPA and wears the high ABV like a pair of sexy stilettos. The taproom is a huge open space that draws you in and keeps you there. Thanks for the pinball machine, the great outdoor space and the yummy beer. Now you just need a parking deck! So who made this stuff? Not sure if he was lured away or moving on to a new career phase in brewing, but somehow the owners got Chris Tropeano from Russian River Brewing in Cali (yes, of Pliny the Elder fame). They do officially have 900 craft breweries in California now, so it was probably getting a bit crowded. Looking forward to drinking many more of your creations, Chris!
