I've been meaning to try this buffet for a while now (but the price tag was a turn off for a local Las Vegan like me who's been to almost all the buffets in Vegas) BUT relatives from Hawai'i and Rhode Island were in town and they mentioned that this was THE buffet they wanted to go to. Coincidentally, this was THE buffet that popped into my head when they said they only had time for one buffet. For a few of them, it was their first time in Vegas...and when you're in Vegas you gotta go with the best, the #1 buffet in Vegas, right?!
With a group of 9 and being islanders...yes, that can make things complicated. Some of us are always on that "Hawai'ian time" haha. Fortunately, we were all seated immediately when our whole party arrived.
The most memorable options from Bacchanal:
- My fave was the Thai Curry mussels. I LOVE Thai curry and I LOVE mussels. I went back for more.
- Along with that, the most memorable were the Pork Belly with yams (surprisingly, it worked well together)
- pork street tacos - freshly grilled, there's usually a line but worth the wait.
- chocolate cake pop, steamed crab legs, flavorful clams.
- ohhhhhh and the cheese station. I LOVE CHEESE. I enjoyed their selection. I went back for more. I love cheese.
The juice station was a nice touch. I loved it! I haven't seen that in any other buffet. Sorry, no photo. I tried the tamarind and horchata. They were delicious. I love the fact that it's displayed in bottles, so after you pile your plate you can stop here on your way back and pick up a bottle without worrying about spilling.
Being a buffet pro, I strategically saved dessert for last. I didn't want to get too full too fast.
Tip: No carbs, save dessert for last, don't drink too much liquids, eat your seafood (crab legs ;-) ) first. Check out your options first before you start piling your plate.
Our beverage server was ON POINT. He had the best customer service skills that I've seen in any buffet or food service establishment. I'm sorry, I don't remember his name. He checked up on us every few minutes, he was kind, enthusiastic, full of energy. His work ethic was a 20 on scale of 1 to 10.
The dessert station is the best I've seen so far in all Vegas buffets. They have a made to order crepe station!!! I was too full to try the crepes but my cousins got to try it and they enjoyed it. The most popular items that night were the cake pops and macaroons. Those were awesome. Those were restocked every 30 mins. Luckily on my last trip back to the dessert station the macaroon tray was filled. Yes! I finally get to try it.
I've went to many buffets here and this is the one I'd recommend! One of the few must try buffets if you only have time for one during your trip!
