Dinner was a real disappointment. Maybe it's just the curse of the buffet, but the roast was overdone, the chicken kebabs were flavourless, and the veal was too fatty. Appetizers and vegetables were great; there was a very tasty okra dish hidden in the corner of the hot buffet, and the pickled beets were tangy and sweet, but it doesn't make up for the poor showing of the main dishes and the disappointing desserts (dry cake and an overreliance on gelatin).
