  • Expensive though reliable, based on 3 visits. Though, I have only tried 3 dry cleaners in Montreal. This one gets my vote for dry-cleaning because I have entrusted them with valued possessions, expensive materials and everything came back clean and in excellent condition. Recently, I tried Renew Systeme for the second time and the owner talked a great talk about this methods and with a great deal of hubris over promised and grossly underdelivered. Most of my expensive dresses came back smaller and the fabric looks worn. Delicate Italian wool was immersed in water and shrank to the point that the lining now hangs below the bottom of the dress. I was heart broken. I loved these dresses. These same dresses had previously been cleaned here and were returned clean and in good condition. Also my husband uses just regular, not eco dry cleaners in the Old Montreal and we have had at least 5 of his shirts come back ripped. DO NOT USE THEIR SEAMSTRESS (sorry forgot name), for anything other than BASIC alteration. She is technically proficient, but does not have a good sense of proportion. A few years ago I asked her to alter several dresses and the fit was disastrously wrong. She measured and pinnned before hand but they were too tight in the chest and hips and totally ruined.
