I love thrifting and so I check out stores in any city or small town I visit. This store has a nice selection, which from my traveling experience seems to be a result of living in a rich city.
However, prices are steadily going up in a city with the highest rates of unemployment in the country. In the last year alone, I've seen some prices double. This is a huge for-profit enterprise, so I occasionally shop here but donate to organizations who are set up for the explicit purpose of supporting some of us in society who need it.
After half-price sales on clothes, items still on the rack are not reduced. In a retail clothing, it seems like it would be more effective to make space for fresh items by drastically reducing the leftovers after a sale. If dated, synthetic items that are already overpriced don't sell at half-price, they won't sell the next day at full-price.
Better prices elsewhere. I am visiting here less and less.
