| - Mornings are precious, primarily for being uninhabited. Open the Indigo (Signal Hill) door early, 0900, and the store opens it's arms to you. The smell of coffee, and receptive clerks paying attention. Books smile seductively down upon you, many books, international books, Knausgaard, as one example. Here you can believe in intellect again. Breathe it in. The magazine and quarterly section is diverse, the gadget guy (Apple, etc.) is always nice and eager. Overall it is great to get settled with the Globe and/or a good read and watch the patrons, many faithful patrons, gather over coffee. Long live the Van Morrison, indie rock, and R & B wafting compilations. Go early, enjoy the stimuli, the baristas, the slight high of your first few sips, the gathering of READERS, the patient eyes of pacing authors behind their tables, the relief of knowing you are a community, communal in your various nerdy ways.
