  • It has actually been a while since I went to 20/20 but I had to write this review because of my experience with a new eye doctor that made me realize how awful 20/20 Image Eye Center in Tempe is. I initially had a great experience here, no problems, but then a few years ago I had my routine eye appt and received new glasses from 20/20, which I only use for distance and driving at night. when I got the new pair of glasses they didn't seem right, and they weren't as clear as the previous pair I had gotten, so I went back to the office TWO times and both times was told that they were fine, but that I needed to wear them higher up on my nose for them to be clear (I understand there's a "sweet spot", but this should not make THAT big of a difference, and wearing them all the way against my eyes as they told me I had to do just pushed my eyelashes into my eye and was not at all comfortable. After trying twice to tell them that the new glasses were wrong and basically being told I was crazy, I gave up and continued wearing my old pair that were much clearer and did not give me a headache (what a waste of money for that new pair of glasses). Today I went to a new eye doctor. I took both pairs of glasses with me for reference and explained that exact story and was told that it made sense that the old pair was better because 1) the prescription on the 1st is much closer to what my eyes currently are at, and the 2nd pair is pretty off and 2) I have an astigmatism and the 2nd pair have an Rx that is not made for astigmatism, and 3) I specifically always get glare reduction lenses (which is not cheap) because that is my MAIN Problem and from what this new doctor could tell, the pair that I complained about do not have glare reduction, which the older pair do have 20/20 knew I had an astigmatism, They're the ones who told me! They also knew I needed glare reduction, because i still have my paperwork and I paid for it! So to give me the wrong prescription AND not account for the astigmatism that was clearly in my file, AND not give me the glare reduction that I paid for and then tell me more than once that I was the one who was wrong and that I was just wearing them wrong? Completely unprofessional, irresponsible and in my opinion unethical. I'm glad I chose to NOT return to 20/20 and found another eye doctor, because that place was a joke.
