It's not that I'm against the underlying premise of Costco--buying cheaper in bulk. It's just that, without a huge family and a huge car to haul them and all their crap in, I don't have much use for a five-gallon drum of Pine-Sol and all the other oversized quantities Costco sells. So it doesn't make sense for me to get a membership (yeah, you gotta pay to get in) for something that's not in my demographic.
Anyway, I was here the other day helping a friend buy a NordicTrack elliptical trainer. It was a good deal at around $900, but it weighed a ton; and I was the one doing a fair amount of the heavy lifting. The supplied dolly was just barely big enough to hold it, and while an employee helped us get it on it in the warehouse, we were on our own for hefting it into the back of the van in the parking lot.
