I have to say the Bellagio's location and facilities are great, clean and pleasing to the eye. I will say though that the customer service is lacking especially in the concierge arena.
My cousin lost his ID at "The Bank" (club inside Bellagio). The next morning, we called up the security lost & found who collects everything left behind at The Bank the night before. They said they couldn't help and would need 24 to 48 hours to process everything. I said, well he has a flight soon, so can we just come to the Lost and Found and sift through it. They said no. Nothing can be released for at least 24 hours.
First off that is a ridiculous rule especially when it comes to Identification purposes. What are you going to do in Las Vegas without an ID showing that you're 21 years of age? As a result we then called the concierge. Evelyn answered the call. I let her know the situation. She said she couldn't help and that we should file a police report and to use that paperwork to get onto the flight at the airport. I said, wouldn't it be easier if you just walked 50 feet to the L&F and sifted for my cousin's ID instead. Just look for a Michigan license. And she said she couldn't and wouldn't do that. Horrid service.
Bottom Line, eventually my cousin did find someone at the front desk to go the extra mile, but that was literally 5 hours after starting the process. I don't believe this would have happened 5 years ago. Service is deteriorating at the Bellagio. Evelyn and the other 4 people we spoke to, really need to be re-trained. I don't understand how a 10 minute fix turned into a 5 hour debacle.
There are so many nice hotels in Vegas now, I won't be giving them my business again.
Wretched service by Evelyn in the Concierge Dept.
