| - Delicious? Yes.
Romantic? Yes.
Upscale? Yes.
Worth the $$$? Maybe not so much.
The service and atmosphere here is great. Those two things are so important when it comes to your recall of a restaurant's experience.
Loved that there was a floor to ceiling window with the waterfall view. However, be advised that the water show doesn't start til 8:30.
Food came out very promptly. And I did enjoy the bread basket (a little too much) during the short wait (pretzel bread, why you gotta be so good?)
Shrimp scampi (5/10) - Probably my least favorite part of the meal. They used jumbo shrimp, which lacked juiciness. The flavor was also a bit bland yet was oily.
Maine Lobster (7/10) - Was surprised at how generous the portion was. But I do wish they put a little less seasoning (cheese, garnish, and whatnot) because it took away from the taste and made it pretty heavy.
Bone in ribeye (8/10) - Cooked to medium rare perfection! Tender and crispy. Seasoned well, although it could've used a little less salt.
Kobe wagyu (8.5/10) - Of course this was the best part of the meal. If it wasn't, there would be something very wrong. Juicy and buttery, melts in your mouth. Balanced flavors of sweet and savory for a steak. I did have a bit higher of expectations for it, as it was not very marbled. But, it was still very tasty.
Overall, this was a memorable meal. However, the seafood and ribeye steak quality were on par with steakhouses that are nearly half the price. And as good as the Kobe wagyu was, I've had better wagyu at a Japanese BBQ restaurant in California once .. I'll wait to try the real deal in Japan.
It was a good one time experience , but cost to quality ratio wasn't good enough to make me want to come back.
