  • I have been consistently getting Brazilian waxes from Chrystine Boyd with Skinergy Aesthetics for the past 7 or 8 months. On 12/12/17, I received a Brazilian wax service from Chrystine. Unfortunately, the service did not go as routine as I was either burned or over waxed during the waxing appointment. Immediately after the wax I noticed bleeding and pointed it out to Chrystine. Chystine did not seem concerned and only offered band aids and an alcohol wipe. Chystine did not offer any recommendation for aftercare either. When I got home and was able to further examine there was dried blood in the area. The next day I noticed the skin was discolored peeling, and scabbing. I had my gynecologist look at the area and she stated that the area looked as if it had been burned and had to recommend something for me to apply to the area for it to heal. I attempted to resolve the problem by contacting Chrystine. I informed her that I was not pleased with my last waxing experience and asked for a refund of services. Instead my dissatisfaction with the service was not addressed, I was not even offered an apology. Instead I was told that I was experiencing discomfort and scabbing possibly due to the time of year and that it was strange that this had happened to me as it had not happened before. I was told no refunds would be offered, but instead I could be provided with organic lotion as a token of appreciation and given information on waxing aftercare for the future. It was never explained what the "organic lotion" was for i.e. the vaginal area or was it just hand lotion? And information on waxing aftercare does not address the issue of being burned. It is unfortunate that this has happened but due to lack of customer service and poor waxing services I will not be returning. I would not recommend Skinergy Aesthetics to anyone.
