So funny story, I came to Wally World just to return an item. I didn't have the receipt but they usually give you a gift card with the value the item is worth in the store. It happened to be a scotch laminator that i had purchased a week before as a gift.
So the reason I was returning it was because it was a xmas gift for my sister that my other sister ended up buying as well. Since she bought hers offline i decided to return mine to save her the extra effort. Anywho, I purchased this item for $27.97 but somehow this particular item went on sale for $19.97 in one week. I was very upset that of all the MILLIONS of items in this store the darn laminator goes on sale. I tried to tell the lady that I purchased it for the original price and that I had the debit card I used to buy it but unlike Home depot they cannot look up purchases by your credit/debit card. So in the end I lost about $8 or $9 on the deal. I really wanted that $8 bucks but what could I do.
As far as Walmart goes, this place is constantly busy unless you go in the dead of night for your purchases but even then there is only one line for every one to check out. Of course everything is a lot cheaper than going to the local grocery or tech or clothing store. I don't shop for clothes here but i do buy the occasional jacket or pajama bottoms. The people here lack class though and you will find that at almost any Walmart across America. They walk in and wear pajamas and not decent pajamas like the ones with plaid stripes or solid colors but its the ones with silly print all over them like xmas and cartoon characters. I seen this one lady walk in with bright yellow green bay packer pj's along with an oversized hoodie. It kinda made me wonder why they even leave the house.
Before I end this great review about walmart I have to mention the dispute between two ladies in the customer service line. So while I was in line waiting to return my item I noticed a line of people starting to build up behind me. The first woman i noticed was a older white lady with a cart carrying to toddler bikes. After I began to finish up my transaction out of nowhere an older black woman slides in front of the lady who was behind me. These are the words shared between these two women:
Black woman: "Oh I was already waiting here.." Moving in close to the register.
White woman: "Well I'm sorry I didn't see you there and i"m standing in line" Pushes cart forward to block out black woman.
As the black woman slides in pushing the white woman's cart out the way the white woman tries to move her out the way by force.
Black Woman: "IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!"
I can't believe a fight nearly broke out over line jumping. I have to say though I never saw the black woman at all she just showed up out of nowhere meanwhile there was already a line building up behind me that this lady was never in.
Maybe Walmart should get those ropes to keep situations from turning poor and possibly violent.
