| - Bacchanal is one of the top buffets in Vegas for a reason. There's enough food to feed a whole country.
I'm usually the type of person to try a little bit of everything at a buffet, but here, I had to pick wisely.
While the variety is pretty amazing, I had a bit higher of expectations for the quality. Being as pricey as it is, I was hoping dishes would taste restaurant level. While there was nothing that tasted necessarily bad to me, I don't recall being really wowed by anything either.
I won't list every single thing I ate, so here's what I'd rank the top 3 items:
1. Steamed crab legs - Bless the lady for giving me like three pounds of this stuff. Although time consuming, this made the meal worth it more than anything.
2. Wagyu from the carving station - not overly seasoned and fairly tender (even though I doubt it's authentic Wagyu)
3. Grilled Salmon - Yum, soft and saucy. Great execution.
* Also, side note: the salad bar here stood out to me more than they usually would at other buffets.
And the 3 things I was most disappointed with:
1. Fresh oysters/Bloody Mary oyster shooter - Just no. Don't do it.
2. Wagyu slider - These looked sooo good, but tasted so plain -__-
3. Desserts - Yeah, custom crepes are cool and all, but other than that, I feel like there was not too much to choose from that you couldn't find at every other buffet.
I do think I'll come again since I only tried maybe half of their items. But not anytime soon. Cuz I'm not trying to go fat and broke that quick.
