Finally, my first taste of Mediterranean food in Wisconsin.
Went there last night on a trip to Madison after reading the great reviews here.
We were the first folks there at 5:30 and were seated promptly.
Our server, who I must assume to be the owner, was very nice and helpful, but forgot our drinks until we asked again midway through our meal. Understandable, he seemed pretty busy and we could have reminded him sooner. He did remember what we ordered to drink.
I ordered the Sea Bass and my partner the Shawarma.
Both tasted great, but honestly, not as good as the stuff back home and was much more expensive. Both entrees were garnished with the same vegetables and the hummus was good.
I haven't been to many restaurants in the Madison area to compare this restaurant to so I'm comparing to the one's back home in Los Angeles.
Don't get me wrong. The food was very tasty and my Wisconsin-born girlfriend loved it, but I just felt it should have been a little better considering the price. Maybe ethnic food is just at a higher premium around here, but the same food could be had at home for less than $10 dollars an entree.
Overall, good food and I would go back to get my Mediterranean fix.
