| - Don't do it!!! Do. NOT. Live. Here.
I lived here for almost a year (Dec 2015-Nov 2016), and I could not be happier to get out of there. I am 24, and have lived in a LOT of apartment complexes, and I can say by far that this one is the worst.
1. Parking- There is noooo parking. Anytime I had friends or family come over, they literally had to park outside of the apartment complex, across the street. Also- they threatened to tow my boyfriends truck, as he was parked ON MY DRIVEWAY. If I am paying to live there and paying extra for a driveway, figure out your parking first than we can chat about my guests parking on my own driveway.
2. Bugs- Okay.. something you should know. The windows in this place ALL have something called 'weep holes' in every window frame of your apartment complex. Not sure what there purpose is, but they let bugs in and cold air (that I'm paying for) out. A few months ago I noticed that something that looked like A NEST was GROWING INSIDE OF MY ROOM. Yup you guessed it. A bug that I identified as the Blue Mud Dapper Wasp. This blue wasp (which I ended up finding in my room a day prior to finding its nest) made its home IN MY ROOM and collected dead spiders for its baby and everything, which I determined after scraping this thing off the ledge of my window (again) INSIDE OF MY BEDROOM. So I called the front office and was having a legit panic attack about what else could potentially be in my room. 1st off- they didn't believe me that my windows were the cause of these wasps getting in and said that I probably left a door open or something. 2nd- It was a Friday when I called and I called on my lunch break after I spent the entire morning googling what type of bug could make a nest like that. I called and asked if they could have an exterminator come to my apartment and get that taken care of today-- their response "sorry no. the exterminator only comes on Tuesday, and today is Friday." Really. REALLY. I had to live with my friend for a week until this issue was resolved. I never received any word back from the front office about my bug issue and they never once called to apologize. The entire situation was handled VERY poorly.
3. Staff- The maintenance staff always looks like they're just goofing off. I always see them hanging out by the mailboxes and just gossiping. Im sorry, but that doesn't look very professional if you ask me.
4. Lawnmowers- If you enjoy being woken up by lawn mowers at 6:30 AM ON A SATURDAY, then this is the place for you. If you actually enjoy sleeping in on Saturday, don't live here. Even on weekdays, it would be 6:30-7am and I would be getting ready for work, as a casual lawnmower would turn on.
5. Washing Machine- My one year of living here, and my washing machine broke 6 times. 6 times!! Its almost like this place consistently puts a bandaid on their residents issues and never actually fixes the problem. On top of that, my garage door was always broken too.
6. They marketed my apartment unit as a three bedroom. When actually, it turned out to be a 2 bed/2 bath with an office. My third roommate had to literally sleep in a room structured like an office. Pretty sure we signed up for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Not 2 bed/2 bath and a MINI office.
In conclusion: Don't live here. I have only named the top 6 issues of my time living here and I will save you the rest of my venting. The amount that they charge to live here, is NOT worth it. This place needs a major renovation and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
