I went here to look for a bike because of their wide variety in selection. I was looking for a commuting bike that was stylish while being functional. On my first visit here, the Brooklyn Bicycle Company's Franklin was suggested to me. The interaction with the sales person was pleasant and I was allowed to test ride the bike.
I returned to the shop about two weeks later to purchase the Franklin. Upon my arrival I was informed that there was none available but they could make me one but it wasn't guaranteed that it could fit me (they later mentioned it was a large....I am 5 foot 4 and clearly could not fit a large). Further discussion led the salesperson to mention that the BKC franklin was not a very good bike and that other bikes from that brand had been repeatedly brought back in for frequent service. This made me question why the previous salesperson had tried to sell me one when it clearly had issues. Further interaction with the salesperson was not pleasant, he made no effort to recommend other bikes and was generally unfriendly bordering on rude. I had heard from other people that service was bad at Sweet Pete's but chose to ignore that advice. Now I have a different opinion
