  • For the longest time, my wife and I would trek to the original Midwood in Plaza-Midwood and on every visit, make the case to the manager on duty for a Lake Norman location. Well, they've been open for a while now in Birkdale Village and all I can say is Hooray! Near as we can tell, same great cue, same great service, whiskey collection, cocktails, etc, etc. Having them so close has also helped me expand my ordering to things beyond the barbecue since I know I can get that without the previous commute. I've used that to try things like the Cuban sandwich, both burgers on the menu, the cheese steak, the tacos and the chopped salad (Hint, the small chopped salad is PLENTY for one) and all that I have tried has been really good. They are also an excellent takeout option with easy online ordering and pick up at the bar. Finally, if you're really feeling like a sloth or maybe want cue but realized it's Friday night and you may have already had one too many as you try to erase the pain of the ole 9 to 5... Door Dash delivery can hook you up!
