I'm not sure what Giligins was like a few years back but it seems to have devolved into the new Mickey's Hangover. Or maybe it's the Chilly Bombers of the East Valley. The place gets fairly busy on weeknights but with a weird crowd (read: nearly zero hot women). Imagine groups of 30-40 year olds boozing it up, trying to relive their roaring 20's. The decor is gaudy, and the staff is mostly friendly and attentive. They have drink specials like cougar and DUI interlock night (check your ID for the red marks and get dollar shots, or maybe I misread the flyer). Someone mentioned this being a dive bar which is so inaccurate.
Giligin's gets loud, and not the good kind of loud. Obnoxious bro dawgs and karoake; and they're songs you don't want to hear either. They have activity nights like karaoke on Monday and goldfish racing on another. So if you're into trivial shit like that, I guess it would be alright. Still, the crowd here seems too old! I mean, don't you losers have jobs to hit in the morning? I suppose not when you have a fake economy such as the one in Metro Phoenix.
