| - As a 20+ years NASCAR fan this museum and Hall of Fame rocked the history and uniqueness of the sport. They focus on the tech behind auto racing without forgetting about the people, lauding contributions in and out of the track. It was impressive to see so many interactive displays and information stops that didn't overwhelm visitors. We could clearly see, touch, listen and enjoy the exhibits thoroughly and at our own pace. Even during Speed Week at Charlotte, due to the Coca Cola 600, the space was easy to navigate, wasn't crowded, and was totally family friendly.
Parking is easy and not too expensive, there are many restaurants and stores nearby, in case you need food or supplies, and it is a stone throws away from south downtown hotels. We really enjoyed our stay there and walked the museum in less than 2 hrs. Not bad for the $20 per person price tag! (They have packages that include food, and cater to children, students and seniors.)
Boogity Boogity Boogity!
