| - Very unhappy. After flying for two days back from the Ukraine, we headed to Barrows as it had been recommended for our 22 year old daughter who had developed neurological issues on our trip. We spent 48 hours and 3 emergency rooms in Warsaw, Poland trying to get answers and it was fruitless. We were petrified as both her hands were shutting down, and her walking was becoming labored. We went right from the Phoenix Airport to the hotel across the street from Barrows. Our daughter was admitted through St. Josephs emergency room. A battery of tests was done: extensive bloodwork, MRI, brain scan and spinal puncture, and that's where things really got messed up. We have pictures of her back with 15 punctures in it. That's how many tries it took to get the needle in the right spot. So now we had a whole new problem of her being in horrible pain and she got put on morphine along with other painkillers. Along with that she is having a nerve problem in her legs. She was in no pain when she was admitted to the hospital and now she is on Percocet. We feel she was used as a human guinea pig as it was only residents that kept coming through. We never got a diagnosis and are worse off than before we went in. What did one of the residents tell her? "You need more exercise". Are you kidding me? We were coming back from a month long hiking trip, she was a champion runner in school, goes to the gym every day, plays ultimate Frisbee 3 times a week, mountain bikes, is a great snowboarder......and now she can barely walk. Just wondering why whoever did the spinal didn't get someone else to come in after he couldn't get it in. Barbaric. The good news is that nothing is life threatening. The bad news is that it might be life changing for her.
