I have visited the gun store every time I come to Vegas for the past 10 years and I have seen a gradual decline in the customer service since then.
The first time was, as I said, around 10 years ago. I was driving past the store with my wife and we stopped out of curiosity. inside was an incredible range of Rifles and pistols. I was spoken to by one of the staff, I told him that I had never owned or fired a gun before, but that as a kid I was really good at shooting my Air Rifle. He knew that there was no-way I could buy a gun, but he spent time talking about the different sorts of pistols they had, he then told me that for the cost of the Ammo and a target I could try-out a gun in the Shooting range out back. I chose a Biretta 9mm and for about $20 of ammo I had one of the most fun hours of my life. The guy came with me and gave me shooting lessons and was really helpful.
Fast-Forward 10 years and this is now my 6th visit. I have tried to vary the experience each visit by changing the type of gun I shoot and this time I am going for the Biggest Belt-Ammo machine gun that they have in the store!
The place is now so well known by visitors that there is a whole section of the store for renting a Machine gun. I wait in line for about 10 mins. A guy comes and asks me which gun I am interested in. He gets the gun and ammo takes be to the range, Like a robot he reels off the safety instructions. He stands in silence while I shoot off $150 worth of Ammo with no feedback about how I am doing or interest in making my experience fun. When my wife asks him to pose with me and the huge gun for a Photo, he sighs and tuts. 25mins, 150 Dollars, 0 satisfaction.
