I don't enjoy giving 1/5 star reviews, but these guys stink.
I work sometimes as part of an arts collective. We have a domain. I registered it a long time ago. One of the other members of the collective decided the site (which was static/stale/boring/old) needed a refresher. She found somebody to do the work who said they could easily use her hosting.
I was on the phone with the monkeys at netfirms trying to get them to tell me the "relative address" of the hosting so I could direct the domain to it.
Unfortunately the guy on the phone didn't seem to understand that yes, this is something that you can easily do, and yes this is something that happens ALL the time! (If you self host for example!)
Unfortunately they only seem to know how to do it if they are in control of everything. Which is uber craptackular.
The hosting itself is ok, but it's on a dynamic IP system. (This sets off alarm bells... what kind of fly-by-night operation is this? Or how many times has the hosting been re-sold before it gets to them to re-sell to the customers? real server hosts virtual servers hosting virtual servers forwarded to somewhere... yikes!)
Yes I'm a tech nerd. But you probably already knew that.
