First, if you're interested in a class and want to save some $, check out the classes online to see if any have been discounted close to the class date. Paid $69 for a class this weekend and saw that they had reduced the price to less than $40. So waiting til the last minute might be a good plan.
The class ... not very interactive. We basically all did some chopping and several people had a chance to cook at the stove for a few minutes. The chef was soft spoken so hard to hear. Also dishwasher was loud which made the problem
worse. After a short while, they gave us time to browse the store, and we ended up leaving at 11:30. So the 2-hr class was actually about 1 hour total.
I'll try another cooking school next time. On the plus side, you will get a 10% coupon to use that day. Might be helpful if planning big purchases. We just spent more on gadgets we'll likely never use.
