  • Ok, so I am going to start off by saying; This is a small Pho restaurant in the middle of South Park Mall here in Strongsville, OH. So I will review it as such. I am, a Pho enthusiast. I must admit that I love Pho from every angle and I haven't had a Pho disappointment during my time on this earth. The main thing I judge my Pho experience on is, the broth and the after effects. Meaning, will I be sweaty?, will I feel strengthened and energetic? I like to joke and classify Pho as an anti-depressant, because it does just exactly that; Makes you feel better, sometimes great. Enough about me though, let's get to Pholicious. I'll start off with the management, which is a middle-aged gentleman who is very friendly and talkative, but not too talkative if you know what I mean. No one wants someone there asking you questions while trying to enjoy a meal, so he knows his boundaries which I highly appreciate. The rest of the staff always seems to be the same as far as who is working, 2 young lovely ladies that are extremely polite and helpful. So let's get to the Pho; It's way better than what you would expect from a "fast food" type joint in the middle of a suburban mall. The helpings are a very good size, not too much and not too little. They offer an arrangement of Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Vegetarian and Fish Balls. They also offer Spring Rolls and Bubble Tea which I have yet to try. I usually just go with the beef, or sometimes shrimp added to it. They offer the typical condiments you would see at a Pho joint, none of which I ever use. They are there if you must though, Sriracha, Hoisin and so on. I prefer Pho naked, except for the plated ingredients given, which consist of JalapeƱos, Bean Sprout and Lime. Just recently I had learned that they do offer fresh Basil upon request, which made me very happy. I can see why they don't just give it to you off the bat, because I am sure there are many suburbanites that waste it. So it's very understandable why they do, what they do here. Let's talk about the broth and what stands out with it. The first thing you get is Ginger, Coriander and Salt. Yes, their Pho is a tad on the salty side, but it will not detour you from returning. The end result, is me sweating and feeling awesome, and I always have leftovers which is another plus. So with all that said, if you are at the mall on a hardcore shopping spree and need that extra boost; Then stop by Pholicious for a wonderful bowl of Pho. I highly recommend it!
