Sorry Nobu - you had the bad luck to be my 4th sushi dinner in 5 nights, and fell short of the great stuff. The place is stylin', for sure - but strange in that it has a chill vibe, but in HR fashion, they yell something in japanese everytime they walk through the place to seat new customers. I have no idea what it is - what it means - but it's a Disneyesque feel, and it's jarring when it's at your back (as it was for us at the sushi bar).
The sushi was obviously fresh - and it's cool that you order from the sushi chef and watch them make it (remember to tip them!!) - but the taste of the rolls we ordered was fairly average.
Luckily the bill wasn't steep, but it would be on the lines of an 'easy, nothing special' kind of place back home. Don't think that's how they view themselves.
Tao wins out, so hit HR for the vibe outside of this place.
