| - I would almost be embarrassing to admit the frequency with which I visit Churned, but it's not, because Churned is that good.
There are a number of things to love here:
1. The flavors, carefully concepted combinations like chocolate smoke, maple bacon french toast, and yes, roasted garlic with grapes. Even going so far as to use cereal milk in the Cap'n Crunch flavor earns 5 stars from me because it shows an ownership who really cares about their flavor profiles. (My favorites? Chocolate smoke, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Cap'n Crunch, Maple Bacon, Pumpkin)
2. Serving sizes. The small is two scoops, mix and match. On my first visit, I thought it was kind of small but in retrospect it is the perfect size. Just enough to really enjoy your delightful dessert without feeling post-dessert ickiness.
3. The owner, SynDee is just so gosh darn adorable, friendly and truly excited about her product. You tell and taste how much she cares about her ice cream in each bite.
4. Location. I love sitting in Lincoln Park watching walkers, dogs and locals out and about while I eat my ice cream.
Needless to say, I am thrilled to have Churned open for business. Move over Sweet Moses, there's a new ice cream Queen in town!
