I travel to Cleveland a lot, and I usually stay at Springhill Suites next door, but I had a recent great experience at Embassy, so I booked this place for my 10-night stay.
Mistake...Springhill is much better.
This Embassy Suites just doesn't seem very well managed. I see lots of dirty areas - the elevators, the breakfast area. It's just not as nice as other Embassy Suites I've been to, which is maybe why it was only $85/night.
The coffee tastes burnt. The breakfast buffet food wasn't hot enough. My trashcans weren't emptied. They missed servicing my room one day. They were out of "Evening Reception" (I.e. - free drinks) coupons when I checked in.
The airline lost my bag and I needed a toothbrush - they didn't have any, so I drove to three different places nearby and everything was closed.
The rooms are nice. The on-screen TV guide doesn't work. (It didn't work half the time at the last ES I stayed at in San Antonio either.)
You're better off at Springhill, next door.
