| - We ate at Cantina's former location on East Blvd several times, but hadn't ventured to their new Park Road location since they moved. We go to Flying Biscuit across the shopping center frequently for breakfast, but Cantina 1511 doesn't open for brunch before 11, so we never arrived late enough to give them a try. Lucky for us, they offered Easter Brunch one hour earlier, so we were able to finally try their breakfast.
I have to say, I like this location better than East Blvd. It's roomier and brighter, with tables a bit further spaced apart than the smaller previous location. They play awesome rock music, too.
The Easter menu was the usual brunch menu. My husband and I both had the huevos rancheros - mine with scrambled eggs (with cheddar), and his with fried eggs. I can't begin to describe how good this dish was. Unlike other places, Cantina serves their huevos rancheros over two cheese quesadillas. There are black beans underneath the quesadillas, which are then topped with eggs, salsa, Mexican crema, and cotija cheese. Both of our eggs were cooked perfectly, too.
Their chips and salsa are also phenomenal. (Yes, we ate a full basket while waiting for our eggs!) Their chips are really thin and light, and their salsa is fresh, with finely chopped tomatoes and fresh cilantro. It's medium spicy, in case you were wondering. It's so good!
Their coffee is also delicious. It's very strong, and has great flavor. Service is friendly and efficient here as well.
We'll definitely be back. I only wish they'd offer earlier brunch all the time.
