stroAfter reading the reviews and the hype, I expected more thrills and chills from a Vegas show with high prices to match but what we got was part-comedy, part acrobatics and mostly a children's show. Sure, the kids were cute and I enjoyed some parts but let's just say we were a bit disappointed and underwhelmed. We got a stripped-down version of the NYC show which was over 2 hours--this one barely clocked in @ 1 hour and 20 mins. What happened to the jugglers, clowns and death-defying Houdini-type of acts?
Even at a discount rate, I felt a bit let-down. The theme has so much potential but there were few actual circus acts save for the contortionist, cyclist and tightrope walkers. In short, the show felt disjointed and lackluster--in this age of special effects and fancy Vegas productions, I guess this performance seemed a bit simple and corny.
If they added more circus performers and shortened or removed most of the comedy bits with the children, then the show would feel complete. Instead the "magic acts" seemed like filler and lasted way too long. Looking forward to watching the movie w/ Hugh Jackman.
