Uuuggghhh I so hate to do this but it must be done! So I was singing the praises until my next furniture purchase arrived. A dining room set. The wood in the legs were split, there was so much dirt packed into the crevices of the chair legs that I thought it was a set picked up off of the side of the road. When I called to complain I was told that "the driver's said it was just dust". Really? Nope, sent pics and it was mud packed deep into the crevices of the chair legs. Oops, I was told by the sales lady - that is not just dust. When I asked to return I was told no returns. Wait. The website clearly shows returns are allowed. Now I have to fight? Oh man, who feels like it. So I simply informed the finance company that I'm not paying for a $1200 piece of furniture that was delivered in that condition, and is hideous. Not to mention, I picked it out of a book at the furniture store (my bad). Seems to me that would be the absolute reason to allow returns. Anyway, the replacement idea - was them coming to change the LEGS ON THE FURNITURE a week after I complained. Really? Not take the whole warped color set and all but come change the legs? Wtf? is right?
The finance company came up with a way to get me out of it and offered to take it (another story of incompetence) and it is now gone. Oh, and the tufted poster bed that I raved about - the buttons are popping out of the tufting. Buyer beware. Purchase stuff that you can see in person - especially if there is a no return policy. Stick with stores that are well known so that you have better recourse.
