I'm somewhat torn about BizGu. I always prefer to go to the local "mom and pop" shops over the big box stores (like Guitar Center or Sam Ash). BizGu has a fantastic selection of acoustic and electric guitars. I think their inventory in quantity and quality meets and surpasses the big box stores.
HOWEVER, I will concur with some of the Yelper's here that the customer experience is just plain odd. The usual cursory greeting is nice but I have always felt uncomfortable there. Last experience was no different. I was literally shadowed by the sales guy who's ass tightened up each time I reached for a guitar on the wall. These were the ones at eye level so obviously not their high end stuff. I've been around the block a few times and am always hyper careful when taking an axe off it's wall holster as well as placing it back w/out dinging the axe next door.
My last experiences was so uncomfortable that I ended up leaving, taking the trip over to GC and actually buying an Epi 339 Pro that day. As I said, I would have preferred to give the business to the local guys but they didn't deserve my business; at least that day.
BizGu is a great place to walk around and drool over all the guitars and equipment...but dare not try and test out anything, unless you'd like to get your wrists slapped by the guitar nazi sales guys. Better to actually spend your money elsewhere until they wise up.
Lastly, and for those who are trying to sell your used axes to BizGu....as any retailer will, they will low ball the hell out of you. GC will do the same so I don't ding BizGu for that practice because it's fairly universal. Best to privately sell your stuff on CL or Ebay.
