Typical Shoppers Drug Mart, which has a post office, large cosmetics section and a photo department. The bad news is that during peak times like lunch hour and 5:00 pm, it's severely understaffed and the line gets unmanageable.
The cosmetic department is big but doesn't carry Lise Watier, so go to the Eaton Centre or the two-level Queen Street Shoppers for that particular brand.
The pharmacy itself is nice and well-stocked, not too busy, and the pharmacists are helpful.
As for groceries, I always hope that whatever I need to buy isn't on sale, because if it is then they'll be out of stock. No bread, milk or peanut butter happens far too frequently because it's such a busy Shoppers.
A couple of weird things: you can't leave through the main doors without weaving around the line and passing the cashiers, even if you didn't buy anything. Shoplifting prevention? And have you ever noticed that the people in the cosmetics department never smile and say hi unless you've got nice clothes on and your makeup done?
