| - Easily the best cup of coffee you'll find in Inglewood (P&S) and a pretty darn good pain au chocolate, make this a needed, albeit pricey addition to the neighborhood.
Staff are friendly and efficient The decor is pleasant and modern, and a little warmer and welcoming than the current cool, white, coffee shop trend. There is a great looking beer and wine selection, though I haven't had a chance to sample yet as I'm usually there on a coffee or lunch break.
I haven't sampled as much of the lunch options though, and Wednesday's special porchetta sandwich was just a little off the mark. Sandwich was tasty but strangely proportioned, with a great, soft, ciabatta, and a schmear of lovely fresh salsa verde, but then three too-thick slices of just average roast pork and nothing else. Individual elements were fine, but together it somehow just seemed like a not quite complete thought. Likewise, the split pea soup featured a few morsels of rustic smoked pork, but nothing else flavour wise to make it memorable, or really worth the $6.50 for a takeout bowl. Still, the quality is there, even if the recipes haven't quite come together yet, so I'll definitely be back to try a few more items.
