| - We came here for dinner the weekend before Christmas with my aunt. We made reservations through open table and even got an email confirmation. When we got there, they had no record of our reservation, so we had to sit at a high top table in the bar. No big deal, but there are reasons why you make reservations.
We started off with the deviled eggs and and pimento cheese wontons. Both were good, but the wontons were not cheesy or what I expected, just had a pimento cheese decorative sauce line on the plate rather than on or in the wontons. Also kind of pricey when you only get three.
For dinner we ordered the chicken and waffles, pork chop and pork shoulder and split three sides - squash, succotash, and mac and cheese. The chicken and waffles were good, but I've had better. The jalapeno jelly was too spicy and I like spicy foods. The pork chop was okay, but loved the pork shoulder!! The sides were just okay to me, nothing outstanding and pretty pricey for the small amount you get on one plate.
Would we be back? Sure, but it won't be my first thought.
