Compared to a lot of the places I've been in the QC, Thomas Street delivered almost exactly what I expected when I walked in the door for the first time. The best two comparisons I can come up with is either a college type bar / pub or a drinking bar. This is the type of place you can take that one friend who is a klutz when drinking and not worry . From the looks of it the floor and walls and every thing else in the bar has had worse done to it than having a few drinks spilled.
Prices for drinks were fantastic!! You will not be paying $6-$7 a beer here, even for micro brews.
Staff - They honestly looked bored the night I was in. I really couldn't blame them. They looked like they are used to really moving and hustling when busy and they certainly weren't this night. Compared to a lot of the crappy service I've had here in Charlotte this was above average.
Food - Standard and some glorified bar food, served in 50's style plastic baskets w/ wax paper. If you forgot to eat before drinking or need something to soak up the excess alcohol afterward this will serve it's purpose. If you're looking for a great meal, I'd look elsewhere.
There are Flat screens every where and plenty of other bar activities to keep you busy. I'd definitely pay a visit again, I'd just eat first elsewhere.
