| - I have to say that I do not have a sweet tooth at all, so I did not come to Oakmont Bakery of my own volition. I friend demanded we stop n the way out of the Strip. It is a beautiful bakery, amazing clean with lots of help and lots of sweet treats, more than one could ever want. I am pretty sure this place has every baked good known to man, super impressive. As my friend got her cookies, cupcakes, macarons & more cookies we proceeded to the register and this is where I saw it ........ !!! OMG. Now mind you I was here for the ride, I had not planned on buying anything. Opposite the register was a bakery rack with fresh breads, and on this rack was this beautifully browned, rustic, round loaf of crusty bread. It was so alluring I had to go over and see what it was. "Everything Bread" a combination of 3 cheeses, some broccoli, herbs and pepperoni. I picked it up to examine it closer and my eyes got wide and my taste buds let me know this was something to try. I plunked down my $4.50 and the everything bread and I headed home. This bread creation talked to me the whole car ride and as soon as I got in the door, the bread was out of the bag!! No knife, no plate, no etiquette, just ripped open the bag and tore off a nice chunk. It reminded me of a pepperoni roll but so, so much better. Like the father of the pepperoni roll. It was absolutely delicious. My second chunk went into the toaster oven and I was loving it. I never had anything like it before; it was cheesy, and a bit spicy, crunchy and soft, it was perfect. I think I may have found a new favorite treat. Everything Bread, give it a try! Ill be back Oakmont bakery for that crazy delicious bread, and who knows maybe a cookie.
