Thursday evening - they don't take reservations or call ahead unless you're within a radius (but how would they know where you're located when calling??) - and we get a 30 minute wait with a pager and a text message to follow "our fish" on a TV (as it gets bigger and floats to top, you're closer to head of wait). So we sit at the bar, completely ignored for quite a while, with bartenders and barbacks walking past regularly and everyone else around us that's been served is getting checked up on (and doesn't need anything). Finally get a girl to get our order and they've run out of an ingredient and is gone without any word for a loooong time, where another bartender now has deemed us worthy to check in with 3 times even though we have already placed our drink order. My knobby knees drink was very good, my friends was not balanced well with gin and other components and was kind of gross.
We settle up at the bar as our table is ready and we're not feeling very confident in this place. MORGAN redeems the night!! She knew the menu very well and offered great suggestions, was very attentive and had an awesomely enthusiastic attitude. I honestly was not a fan of the burgushis that were more like sandwiches in floppy fried rice bread patty thingies because i felt they were super messy and hard to eat - not for lack of taste, but my sushi rolls were all around fantastic!
So in review, bar was not a highlight of my evening, food and service at table were amazeballs, I highly recommend the knobby knees drink and seriously waaaay too many birthdays for one evening.
