I want to like this place, I really do. The café is nestled right in the middle of the East 4th Street stip. The interior of the store is friendly and welcoming. There are tables, mostly accomdating for two people. There are also a few counters, which cater pretty well to the solo coffee drinker.
Unfortunately, the coffee has a lot of room for improvement. And since there are two Phoenix Coffee locations on either side of this café, it's really difficult to justify walking over to Erie Island when I know there's something so much better nearby.
It's really quite depressing to me that downtown Cleveland can't support a coffee shop that stays open past sundown. I always figured if there was one place in downtown Cleveland where it could be done, East 4th would be that place. Apparently we just aren't there yet...
